French vinaigrette is a vinegar-based dressing that’s so versatile.  It loves being drizzled on salad, of course, but you can also put it on pasta or even fish.  It can also be easily adapted to suit the dish and the season – strawberry vinaigrette, anyone?

It’s one of those things that is really easy to buy but never quite tastes the same as homemade.  So go on, make your own.  You’ll be glad you did.

Steps

Done

Put all the ingredients in a clean, empty jam jar (or any small container with a lid) with some salt and pepper, screw the lid on tightly and shake to combine. Best served straight away, or re-shake to re-combine before you do.
