Making the perfect smoothie has a perfect formula:

yogurt + base + fruit + milk = delicious.

Oh, and if you pour some Greek yogurt into an ice cube tray and leave it in the freezer then you’ve always got frozen blocks of yogurt to use to start your smoothie off, which means you don’t need to buy fresh every time and it helps keep it cold.  Genius.

Steps

1
Done

Choose your ingredients

Base: spinach, porridge oats, chia
Fruits: banana, strawberry, peach, pineapple, mango, raspberry, kiwi, melon, orange or your favourite fruit
Milk: cow’s, almond, soya, coconut

2
Done

Pop your yogurt cubes, base, fruits and milk into a blender and blitz until smooth. Pour into a long glass, or a travel mug to enjoy on the go.

Some brilliant combinations to try: Strawberry-mango-orange (my favourite); Banana-peach-strawberry; Pineapple-mango-banana; Raspberry-pineapple-mango; Kiwi-strawberry-melon; I know a lot of people who prepare the fruits in advance and store them, ready chopped, in freezer bags so they can just grab one in the morning to blitz without any prep.
